  1. I thought there was no money?

  2. How can we hire seasonal workers when we are having trouble paying our full time essential town worker?

  3. How in the world can this be?? The town threatens layoffs however, they want to hire new employees for camp??? How about, due to the tough times, we will not be having summer camp this year. If sacrifices have to be made….thatn make them. Starting with no camp this year due to lack of funds!!

  4. thats easy, because you can pay a seasonal worker less per hour,no pension, no health insurance,no paid holidays, no vaccation days, no personal days, no sick days,no union demands,etc..

  5. these seasonal workers are all high school/ college kids…the summer camp is basically glorified day care for families who have to have parents work or want their kids to actually have a fun summer vacation…get a grip the camp is just a bunch of kids running around maple, graydon, and vets. sheesh

  6. 2;07 is right.

  7. 2:07 – the Graydon camp is definately NOT FOR WORKING PARENTS. It’s from 9am – 1pm and is NOT held on bad weather days. What working parent could submit to those conditions? Working parents need a full time camp like the ones run by the “Y”.

Graydon camp is for mommies who don’t want to spend their summer days watching their kiddies.

  8. That sounds like a Ridgewood mom all right!
