A significant portion of this Wednesday evening’s Village Council Public Meeting will be devoted to memorializing recent organizational changes made within the police department.
John LiPuma will be publicly sworn in as Ridgewood’s newest Chief of Police, filling a vacancy created when former Chief William Corcoran retired.
John Ward will be sworn in as the department’s Detective Captain (a position most recently held by now Deputy Mayor Keith D. Killion, who retired last July).
Todd Harris will be promoted to a Patrol Lieutenant (replacing John Ward).
Heath James will be promoted to Patrol Sergeant (replacing Todd Harris).
Village Council members will also swear in two new patrol officers, Joseph DiBenedetto and Anthony Mormino.
Best of luck to all!
