Police on Alert for Bands of complainers "wilding"

In Uncategorized on December 11, 2008 at 12:00 pm

It concerns me, as a citizen, that the Village might have a public safety issue if the BOE meeting gets cancelled. Bands of complainers might go “wilding” on the streets of Ridgewood, verbally attacking innocent bystanders with their complaints about the math curriculum, BOE election results, Bolger, Valley Hospital, the Village Council, and the failure of their dopey kids in grade school. It could get ugly.

Bottom line: we need these BOE meetings to give the complainers a place to channel all of their negative energies.

  1. OK ALL OF YOU PEOPLE THAT ARE AFRAID of discontent, this is directly from District’s policies. Hopefully this will stop your whining.

The Board welcomes through proper channels complaints, inquiries about, and constructive criticism of the district’s programs, equipment, operations, and personnel.

    Complaints Concerning Instructional Materials/Program/Operations
Any person or group having a legitimate interest in the schools of this district may present a request, suggestion, or complaint concerning the educational program, instructional or resource materials, or the operations of the district. The Board directs the establishment of procedures for the hearing and settlement of requests and complaints that provide a means for resolving them fairly and impartially and permit appropriate redress.

  2. These packs of wilders are no longer merely an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals. They’ve gone on the offensive with their rhetorical Molotov cocktails and aimed at anyone in the public square: Killian, Bolger, Meyers, Botsford, Fishbein, Brogan, Hutton, the lifeguards at Graydon Pool, the ladies at the Ridgewood library, et al.

    When will this insanity end???

  3. I don’t think there’s even a pill that could help you. May God bless your soul. Please stay away from the children.

  4. Did some one criticize the lifeguards at Graydon Pool? I must have been on vacation, I missed that.

  5. Poor sports. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the…

  6. Instead of wilding, why don’t the complainers set up flogs as anonymous bloggers and spread ignorance? That seems to be a productive use of time and it defintely adds value to the community.

  7. May we suggest that our wonderful police men and women issue summonses to said indiviuals for public disturbance? Harrassment and the like? There’s got to be a law against this SOMEWHERE.. lol Maybe that will shut them up for a short period of time enough for the rest of us to take in a good book at Van Neste, Graydon, or the local coffee shoppe. lol

  8. Wow, 8:41. Are you really suggesting that the police ticket or arrest people for voicing opinions? Joke or not, the fact you could even think that scares me way more than any “wilding complainers” ever could.

  9. 5:57 AM,

8:41 would have been right at home in 1917 Russia or Germany in the 1930’s.

Perhaps too, he would have enjoyed the 70’s in Cambodia or the 80’s in the Balkans.

Maybe even the Sudan today would suit his fancy.

And people wonder why there is the second amendment.

C’mon? Did this really happen? If so, that’s more of an embarassment to Ridgewood than any recycled ornament on a holiday tree is!

  11. In public office Charlie you are subject to scrutiny. That is a hallmark of Democracy in this country. It goes with the territory. If you don’t have the stomach for dealing with it then don’t enter the fray. Certainly dealing with the general public has its caveats and not all comments are fair. However do you have blind faith in your elected officials? They can do no wrong? There is no room for improvement? Are you fearful of speaking up even though you feel it is justifiable?

Altering scientific data, violating laws, outright lying…these are issues our illustrious present Federal government has been propogating. Imagine if we, the American public are censored, unable to speak our minds and question our elected leaders. Well you ought to look at real estate in Cuba, China or perhaps Venezuela. You’ll be right at home unable to make so much as a peep of a comment. We used to criticize the Soviets for these same tactics. A bit un-nerving.

    Read on:

To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, right or wrong – is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.

    Theodore Roosevelt
    26th president of U.S.

  12. Oh all of you bad, bad, bad critics with your bad, bad, news. How dare you complain about anything! We cannot afford to criticize or deal fairly with any reality. Our leaders are always invincible, always correct, sort of superheroes. They can never, ever do any wrong. Never be queastioned. Just listen to Charlie will you!

  13. How about we just gleefully go along with the 42 million dollars that Angelo says we need to fix and upgrade our facilities! Don’t you DARE question the whys or hows of that issue. You WILL gladly donate your hard earned tax dollars in these over abundant economic times. These are our elected, can’t do wrong heroes. Get in lock step, shut your mouth and fork it over baby. You don’t want to be branded and “intellectual” do ya? Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung and Hitler did interesting things to “intellectuals”.
