  1. Is this a joke? It would be unfair to get my hopes up.

  2. Is the BOE meeting scheduled for tonight also postponed? How would we find that info for sure?

  3. I always knew the wattage at that address was fairly dim.

  4. The building is open, tonight’s meeting is on.

  5. Not a joke. My child came home from BFMS today and said that the computers weren’t working because Cottage Place was having power failure and, apparently, that’s where the mainframes are.

  6. If tonight’s meeting is postponed, what would the complainers do with themselves?

Do they have people at home they can b*tch to in lieu of the public comment period?

  7. Gee 5:02 you’re going all King Louie on us. Don’t you remember that he didn’t get to keep his head?

  8. 6:12 – is that a threat?

I’m just curious what the complainers do when there’s no public comment period where the can complain. Maybe they wonder the streets of Ridgewood, randomly complaining to passers-by?

  9. since when is public comment about complaining? The person that made that comment should reread his/her history books to find out how our government works. Boy, some people haven’t a clue. “To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that all are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public” Theodore Roosevelt. It is our American duty to stand before our elected officials (BOE) and ask questions or express concerns.

  10. They complain on this blog. It is easier than going to the meeting.

  11. 6:12
I guess ignorance is bliss. There’s much to complain about pal. If you have a child in school and you see their work you’d complain too. Wait until the SAT’s roll around. We have chronic budget shortfalls, wasteful spending, no textbooks, misguided curriculums and more. Our taxes pay for these services and if they are not up to snuff then, hell yeah we should voice our opinions. It’s un-American not to do so. You keep your head in the sand my friend. And keep your dollars coming.

  12. “Maybe they wonder the streets of Ridgewood…”

    “wonder the streets”?

Not possible anymore my friend. With the removal of the Christmas Tree at the Top of Ridgewood Avenue all of the wonderment of walking around downtown Ridgewood during the Christmas season is gone.

  13. The new tree sucks, plain and simple. Does it even get lit? I passed by tonight about 5:30 PM, the sun was down and all was dark. No lights. Bah humbug.

  14. It the Ridgewood Garbage Tree!!!!!!!!

  15. Sorry, I meant to type “wander the streets”.

It concerns me, as a citizen, that the Village might have a public safety issue if the BOE meeting gets cancelled. Bands of complainers might go “wilding” on the streets of Ridgewood, verbally attacking innocent bystanders with their complaints about the math curriculum, BOE election results, Bolger, Valley Hospital, the Village Council, and the failure of their dopey kids in grade school. It could get ugly.

Bottom line: we need these BOE meetings to give the complainers a place to channel all of their negative energies.

  16. “wilding” ??

    How old are you anyway?
