A Ridgewood resident has found and unpaid parking ticket in Toms River has caused them to have there drivers license privileges suspended! She has been informed that for $100 fee plus payment of the parking fine and her driving privileges will be restored. The resident is not entirely sure where Toms River is and is wondering how, when and where she received at ticket? Perhaps she missed it in the mail, but more likely money hungry state looks for more opportunities to stick to its tax paying residents, seems a little desperate and a bit of an over kill for a parking ticket?
As more and more people and more and more business flee this state this little annoyance maybe just one more reason for people to pick up and leave. Perhaps the state would be better served if it focused on bringing down some of the high costs of doing business and living in this state instead of spending so much energy trying to penalize people for just living there life. Yes the ticket should have been paid ,but I’ll remember this the next time I see a $44million dollar train station renovation or $9 million Village hall renovation or some one asks me to vote yes on and $85 million school budget ,sorry no thanks I pass I am too busy moving and I am taking my business with me .
