Cost Overruns for Engineering Services at Sewer Plant Blamed on a Dead Man

In Uncategorized on September 4, 2008 at 4:41 pm

In response to questions posed by Village Council members concerning cost overruns related to engineering services for the Village’s Waste Water Treatment Plant, Village Manager James Ten Hoeve and Village Engineer Christopher Rutishauser both pointed fingers at David Baker, former Director of Public Works for the Village.

Mr. Baker retired from the Village in 2006 and died on July 12, 2008.

  1. Isn’t that rich. Blame the dead guy.

  2. He can still vote, can’t he?

  3. how convenient. blame a guy who cant defend himself.

  4. Blame the dead guy is right. You council and admin. in charge really s—. Take some credit for all your failures. Why would you blame Dave, who was so credited for the great job he did in town.I have lived in Ridgewood for 62 years and I have to say, I have never felt the way I do now. Anytime I meet someone and they ask where I am from, and I answer Ridgewood, they always say, “good luck”. I never heard that ten years ago. WE should be shamed of ourselves

  5. the engineering firm that designed the plant should be sued half of the crap they sold the village does not work.

  6. You people are sick.

  7. I’m sure that the county has a solution for our Village owned utility. One of the 1,100 committee moles will be introducing the coucil to him/her soon. It’s kinda like the replacement people in the huge watermelons from a movie years ago.

Remember, engineering services is one of the many areas that pay-to-play, sponsored by the county, thrives on.

  8. ASK MR RUTISHAUSER.Y THE WORK AT THE SEWER PLANT IS NOT DONE YET.THE RIGHT WAY.BUT CDM THE ENGINEER.WANTS MONEY FOR THER WORK.

  9. mr rutishauser new about this.
