A review of the NJ Election Law Enforcement Commission public records has revealed that Nicholas Tsapatsaris, a Village Council appointee to the Ridgewood Planning Board, gave a combined total of $3,000 to two candidates in this year’s municipal election.

Paul Aronsohn received $2,000 from Mr. Tsapatsaris and Betty Wiest received $1,000.

In addition, Election Law Enforcement Commission records also reveal that Mr. Edward Nalbantian contributed $500 to Mr. Aronsohn’s campaign. Edward Nalbantian is believed to be the brother of Charles Nalbantian, another Ridgewood Planning Board appointee.

Charles Nalbantian and Nicholas Tsapatsaris received their respective Planning Board appointments in July of 2007. Mr. Nalbantian’s term expires on June 30, 2008. Mr. Tsapatsaris’ term expires on June 30, 2010.
