  1. Does the public have any voice in the election of officers for the Board? Is there a slate, then comment (including public comment)and then a vote? Or, do the trustees simply appoint their leader without public input?

  2. Trustees appoint the Board president among themselves. No input from the public. Just like the Village Council.

  3. Not to worry, if Ms. Goodman has her way, you won’t have to vote for the budget either.

  4. Does anyone have past stats on election results for the BOE? I am just wondering how the approx. 1,100 votes rec’d by Maskin and Lois compare to other elections and how the approx. 3,000 total voters compare as well.

  5. Since the Board appears to have a light schedule for tonight’s meeting, how about a quick discussion and vote (perhaps during the tea and crumpets hour?) on the idea of RESCUING TRAVELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FROM PURE TERC HELL.

Here’s your chance to make an immediate impact, Ms. Goodman.

Seriously now. How hard can it be to see that, at least for Travell, this problem is of the utmost urgency?

We need a special allocation to provide Travell with a real math curriculum starting this fall–AND NO LATER THAN THIS FALL. The students and teachers are suffering under a curriculum that has been thoroughly discredited in dozens of ways recently, and that will certainly be replaced when the district standardizes on a common curriculum.

I (Travell parent) vote for Travell being converted over to Singapore Math and serving as a ‘test school’ for the district to evaluate the program while it gets its act together. Who’s with me?

  6. If you were dumb enough to vote for brogan or goodman you get what you deserve a TERC in every house, nothing will change you fools you voted for TERC math and the status que which acording to the BOE the “kids at travell are stupid”
